Education
I graduated from high school in 2015 with an ATAR of 99.80, as well as an IB score of 42 with a grade of 7/7 in HL Chemistry, HL Mathematics, HL Geography, and SL Physics. I am a second-year Medical student at the University of Newcastle. Prior to starting medicine, I completed a year of BMedSci at Flinders University with a GPA of 7.0.
Experience
I am offering tutoring and guidance for high school students (IB, SACE, HSC, and more), university students, as well as for the GAMSAT, particularly for the science and essay sections. I have a flexible teaching style and I am happy to adapt it to suit the individual needs of my students. I am able to tutor both face-to-face and online, as I have access to technology that can make both work equally well. I sat the GAMSAT in September 2017 and achieved a score of 76 (100th percentile) after just 1 month of preparation, with section scores of 65/72/84 for S1, S2, and S3 respectively. I have a good idea of how ACER sets the exam and over the years have been able to discover numerous strategies and techniques to ace the exam. As a result, I am happy to provide tips, advice, and support for anyone who is planning on taking the exam. I am especially strong in the science section, particularly chemistry and biology, and would probably be of most help in this area. I am willing to go through any areas you are struggling with if it is within my area of expertise and, if it isn't, I am happy to direct you to additional resources which may be of assistance. I also achieved an excellent result in the essay section, and so am willing to give advice for this. I can also provide detailed feedback for your essays at an extremely reasonable rate so that you can practice effectively without going over your budget. I am comfortable tutoring for IB or other high school level chemistry such as HSC, as well as provide guidance and advice for IB Mathematics SL and HL, Physics, and Geography. I also received an A grade in Theory of Knowledge, with 10/10 in the presentation and an A for the essay so I am able to guide you through this. In addition to all of this, I can offer tutoring sessions on most first and second-year medical science subjects that form part of the BMedSci degree at Flinders University, as well as general chemistry at the first-year university level. I have received HDs for all of these subjects.
