Jessica F.
Private tutor in Adelaide, Australia
Education
I am in my final year as a Law/Arts student at the University of Adelaide. My mean average grade for the past two semesters has been 87.5%.
Experience
I want to be a tutor to help other students consolidate their knowledge and feel more confident moving into exams. I was also a New Colombo Plan Scholar (2016), awarded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australia. I tutor primarily law and legal concepts, in accordance with my academic background. Subjects I tutor include constitutional law, contract law, criminal law, tort law, as well as reading and writing at the 12th-grade level. In terms of what we might cover for criminal law that would include different theories of punishment and priorities of the legal system with regards to rehabilitation, punishment, deterrence, etc. We can also get into the concepts of Actus Reus or "the guilty act" basically the crime in question and all of the circumstances surrounding it. And we can go into Mens Rea or "the guilty mind".
