Private tutor in Adelaide, Australia

Education

I graduated from high school with an ATAR of 98.85 and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a dual major in English and History. I currently have a 6.0 GPA.

Experience

I have tutored in large groups for a private organization and have since branched out into private tutoring - offering 1-on-1 or group tutoring sessions ranging from curriculum assistance to specific homework help. My previous student recently completed Year 12 and she improved markedly between our first and final session. I particularly want to help senior-level students preparing for English and history exams as well as their individual studies. I aim to get my students to enjoy their historical studies. In particular, my interests and expertise in history are far-ranging from The French Revolution (which I studied at Cambridge University in the UK), The Russian Revolution, Indian Independence, World War One, Nazi Germany, Australian History, and the Industrial Revolution just to name a few. I am well-read and well-equipped as an English tutor as well. I have always been interested in reading and writing, and I'm a content writer for local food and entertainment blogs. I can help students with essay formatting, editing, and understanding what a prompt is asking of them. I also have experience tutoring critical reading, which is an integral part of the SACE English curriculum.

Hobbies

My interests include travelling, history, reading, music and yoga. Since finishing school in 2012 I have traveled extensively across Europe and South East Asia, which I think gives me a unique advantage as a history tutor. My aim is to get my students to enjoy, and be excited by their historical studies. In particular, my interests and expertise in history are far ranging from The French Revolution (which I studied at Cambridge University in the UK), The Russian Revolution, Indian Independence, World War One, Nazi Germany, Australian History and the Industrial Revolution just to name a few. I am well read, and well equipped as an English tutor as well. I have always been interested in reading and writing, and in fact I am a content writer for local food and entertainment blogs. I can help students with essay formatting, editing and understanding, developing and navigating their essay questions. I also have experience tutoring critical reading, which is an integral part of the SACE English curriculum.
