Education
I earned my master's degree in applied linguistics and TESOL from the University of Leicester. I have a bachelor's degree in modern languages and translation from Oxford Brookes University. I hold a CELTA certificate in teaching English as a foreign language and I also completed an advanced creative writing course at Oxford University Continuing Education. I'm currently pursuing a creative writing degree and working as a content developer and online associate lecturer.
Experience
I have been tutoring English for more than 25 years, both to young learners and to college students. I have taught academic English at the college level in the UK. I have also written language teaching material and coursebooks for well-known publishers and exam material for Cambridge IELTS, TOEFL, and other international exams. I particularly enjoy working with students who need to improve their reading and writing skills. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching online. I also teach elementary to intermediate Spanish and French. I can help with anything from homework to test prep in the areas listed on my profile.
