I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology with a focus on social research from the University of the Philippines and my graduate degree in applied linguistics with a focus on IELTS research from the University of Adelaide.
Experience
I have seven years of tutoring experience as an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation tutor and I am currently conducting research on IELTS preparation at the University of Adelaide. In addition to offering test prep tutoring for those students who are preparing to take the IELTS, I also tutor a variety of English language subjects such as essay editing, reading, and writing. Working with a personal instructor as you are learning any new language can be invaluable. When trying to learn a language on your own or within the confines of a traditional classroom setting, it can be difficult to obtain an adequate amount of receptive and expressive language practice. With a private tutor, this becomes much easier to accomplish and you also get the benefit of having someone who can work through the technical details of the language with you.
