Private tutor in Adelaide, Australia
Education
I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Adelaide, majoring in English. I have also completed a Diploma of Secondary Teaching, a Graduate Diploma in Teacher Librarianship, a Graduate Certificate of Professional Practice, and an Advanced TESOL Certificate. In addition to all of this, I have also obtained an International English Teacher License.
Experience
I am a qualified and registered teacher with 30 years of experience in teaching English at the middle and senior school levels. At the moment, I prefer to work with adult students or Year 12 ESL students rather than younger students. For the past 5 years, I have really enjoyed working as a tutor to university students and foreign migrants in the ELLIS program at the State Library, as well as providing assistance to students preparing for the IELTS and OET examinations. Being able to help individual students from so many countries improve their English skills has been an enlightening experience for me. I can provide online tutoring via Zoom if that is more convenient for you.
