I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Nottingham. I graduated with honors. I earned 3 A's at A level in math, history, and politics.
Experience
I am currently an assistant language teacher at a junior high school in Sendai, Japan. My responsibilities include curriculum planning, devising lesson plans, and setting and assessing the end-of-semester tests. During this time, I have gained important skills such as learning how to teach more effectively, how to get the best from my students and understanding the Japanese education system. In the Japanese education system, learning comprehension and detailed revision are highly valued. By using the English bulletin board, letter writing, and revision guides, my students improve their English ability and become confident in corresponding with a native speaker. I have volunteered at primary schools in the UK. During this time, I taught Victorian History once a week at a primary school in Nottingham. This job involved planning lessons, choosing a topic to study, and working with teachers. I also volunteered at a local primary school in Stockport. There, I helped in the classroom and playground. My responsibilities included working with the primary school teachers to create an interesting and informative lesson and supervising lunchtime activities. I am passionate about learning and education, and I want to help people achieve their goals in education.
