Lucy C.
Private tutor in Adelaide, Australia
Education
I am currently a PhD student at Flinders University studying conservation ecology of pygmy bluetongues, an endangered lizard native to South Australia. I also have a Masters in animal behaviour and a bachelors degree (with honours) in Zoology.
Experience
I have a broad range of experience in the Zoology field - both from field work and classes at three universities in England. I have a thirst for knowledge and look forward to sharing this enthusiasm with the students of today. When I was at University I had tutoring sessions with a PhD student and it proved to be the best choice I ever made. It helped me to learn by taking the time to look at things in ways my mind understood which isn't always possible in large classes of students.

Hobbies
I am very interested in animal behaviour and conservation of endangered species. I have interned with Paignton Zoo, a leading zoo in England. I conducted my masters dissertation on sociality in flamingoes at a leading wetlands centre in England and have just returned from spending a year in Africa studying meerkat behaviour on wild habituated meerkats in the Kalahari desert. I am committed to learning and expanding my knowledge in all things relating to wildlife conservation.
