Education
I earned my Diploma of Marketing in 2016 from TAFE SA in Adelaide. In 2009, I completed an English language school program in Hawaii. I studied Economics, Environment, and Media at a university in Kyoto from 2002 to 2006.
Experience
I have been teaching Japanese at various schools as a private tutor since 2009 both in Australia and Japan. I currently teach adults Japanese and cooking through WEA South Australia. From 2010 to 2013, I was a college teacher in Okayama, Japan. I scored 6 on the IELTS and completed the 420 hour Japanese Language course. I am certified to teach English as a second language and have current Police Check, First Aid, and Child Safety certificates. I am skilled in working with most Microsoft applications. My lessons are based on my student's individual goals, whether they'd like to use the language for traveling, daily interactions, business, or games. I can support students as they prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test or offer guidance throughout their Japanese coursework in high school.
