Education
I have an Associate of Arts in Music, with a major in piano, from Brigham Young University in Hawaii, USA, where I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in English. I earned a Master of Education in English Language Teaching in the Philippines. While at the University of South Australia (Magill), I completed my Doctor of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Experience
I have taught English, literature, and ESL for 19 years, including Shakespeare, poetry, world literature, and creative writing. As a tutor, I am experienced in all levels. I am also trained in academic, research, and other forms of writing so can help you develop and improve in various skills pertaining to the written word. I have supervised research projects and worked as a director of a training center, so have a vast range of experience working with people. When working one-on-one with students, I can focus on the basics, move on to more advanced topics and exercises, and offer practice and constructive criticism to help you reach for your academic and personal goals. In addition, I offer piano lessons as well!
