EducationMy name is Michael Norris. I'm an Australian-born male currently undertaking a Law degree, an Arts degree majoring in Politics and a Diploma of Language in Chinese at the University of Adelaide.
ExperienceI've been tutoring for two years now, at Woodcroft College (an independent school). Woodcroft specifically requested me to provide tuition for their students after-hours as I was an exceptionally high-achiever during my secondary schooling. I specialise in teaching the International Baccalaureate, but I also have experience teaching SACE subjects. On average, my students improve their test results by 20 per cent.

What's unique about my tutoring? Firstly, parents receive a detailed report of their child's progress every month, so they are constantly kept "in the loop". Secondly, I provide my students with tests every three weeks, in order to maximise retention. Lastly, I have taught students from both English-speaking and non-English speaking backgrounds, so I'm aware of how to present material to a diverse group of students.
My lessons are typically two hours. One hour is re-teaching the material taught in the students' class. This cements their understanding of new topics. The second hour is spent revising past topics, completing past examination questions or general assistance with test preparation.
In 2008, I completed the International Baccalaureate and achieved a TER of 99.20. I have been awarded the Caltex Award, the South Australian Principals' Scholarship and an International Baccalaureate Academic Distinction Award.
