I have earned my master's degree in Education, Gender, and International Development from the Institute of Education at the University of London in the UK.
Experience
I spent five years as a private tutor where I offered one-on-one sessions as well as small group tutoring to teach the English language to students and adults from a variety of backgrounds. I made sure that each student excelled at each component including reading fluency and comprehension; creative, formal, and informal writing; and speaking, listening, phonics, and grammar. I also tutored primary students in science, math, history, geography, environmental studies, and civics. I created tailor-designed curricula for each student to meet their academic requirements and match their learning styles. My lessons included hands-on experiences, notes, worksheets, play-way methods, games, quizzes, and other assessments to enrich the process of learning. I have also been a Content Lead where I regularly analyzed student feedback to improve the effectiveness of support and mentored and coached the students to achieve high academic results whilst supporting them as they settled in with a new learning product. I have a certificate in Education Management. I love to teach, coach, and facilitate learning. I believe the best way I can give back to society is to enable my students to flourish and grow.
