Education
I have an extensive academic background, starting with an Associate of Music in Piano. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Japanese as well as a Bachelor of Laws. I also have a Diploma of Languages in Japanese and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Experience
I want to tutor students in English, Japanese, and piano. I am a classically trained pianist in piano, completing AMEB grades up to grade eight and AMEB theory up to grade 5. I have been playing for over twelve years, and I have competed at various local and state-wide competitions, including Eisteddfods. I am passionate about teaching piano, and I can teach students according to their needs, whether they wish to pursue AMEB examinations or play for fun. I have been teaching since 2012, both privately and at a local studio, and I have achieved excellent results with my students. I am capable of teaching all ages. I am currently teaching students between the ages of 6 and 15. I also have extensive knowledge and skills in English. I have written a novel and several short stories, some of which have been published. I have also participated in numerous creative writing workshops and events, which have further improved my skills. I have a high distinction average in my creative writing course in college. I am currently the creative writing sub editor at the University of Adelaide's student magazine, On Dit, and I am also a regular feature writer and creative writer for the magazine. My goal is to become an author, and I am currently working on my second novel. I am happy to help with high school and university creative writing assignments, whether polishing an existing story or helping to come up with new and original ideas. I am very passionate about creative writing and eager to pass my knowledge onto young writers. I have multicultural writing experience and studied Chinese fiction at Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing in 2016. I can also help with proofreading, writing, and editing English essays. I can teach beginners in Japanese, including beginning phrases, basic scripts, and around 500 basic kanji characters, and basic grammar structures. I am happy to work with you on certain areas of the language or work on improving your general Japanese skills. Japanese was my major in college. I have a huge love of the Japanese language and culture, and I have studied at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. Therefore, I can also help with Japanese cultural studies.
