I earned my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide with Dean's commendation for doctoral thesis excellence. I earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with first-class honors from the University of Adelaide with a Dean's Merit Certificate for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
Experience
I have extensive tutoring and lecturing experience at the university level over the past 8 years. Student evaluations have rated my teaching abilities to be consistently better than department and university average. I am capable of teaching mathematics and science across all school year levels. I can also teach selected undergraduate and masters level engineering courses. My current employment role is research-based. Private tutoring provides me with an opportunity to pursue my teaching interests over flexible hours outside of work. My teaching philosophy is based on developing confidence in the student and stimulating their interest in the subject matter. This approach benefits the student in both the short and long term and allows them to control their study. I received the Australian Postgraduate Award in 2012-2015, the Adelaide Summer Research Scholarship in 2010-2011, and the Adelaide Outstanding Achievers International Scholarship from 2008 to 2011.
