Sarah B.

Private tutor in Adelaide, Australia

Education

I am working on my Bachelor of Education at the middle/secondary level, in history and English, and a Bachelor of Letters in Spanish. In addition, I also take French night classes.

Experience

I am three years into my teaching degree and have tutored many students in my specialty subject areas. These include English, Spanish, U.S. history, world history, European history, and African-American history, and have a special passion for language. As a tutor, I am striving to build my skills as an educator as well as spread my love of learning to all types of students. I know that it can be disheartening to fall behind in classes, which is why I strongly believe in one-on-one learning environments to provide the necessary attention to cover lost ground. I am a patient teacher, a lifelong learner, and believer that learning should be fun. I aim to motivate and encourage my students to reach for their best in school and beyond.

Hobbies

I take French night classes as a side interest from my degree. I love languages and am a strong believer in being a lifelong learner. I think that learning should be fun, and current pedagogical research agrees. For this reason, I want to tutor to show students that school and learning can be exciting, even past school.
